This notice explains what outcomeowl.com collects when you visit it, and why. The website is run by Seattle Software Works, Inc., which makes Outcome Owl. It covers this website and the email you send us. It does not cover the Outcome Owl service itself, which each customer runs on its own dedicated deployment; ask us how the service handles data.
What this website does not do
It sets no cookies and keeps nothing else in your browser. It runs no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and loads nothing from other companies' servers. It has no sign-up or contact forms. You can type into the Process Discovery Worksheet, but what you type stays on your screen: it is never sent to us, and it is gone when you close the page unless you print or save it.
What we record when you visit
Like most websites, ours keeps a log of the requests it serves. For each request it records the date and time, your IP address, the page or file requested, the page that linked to it, the identifier your browser or crawler sends (its "user agent"), and whether the request succeeded.
We use this log to keep the website secure and to understand how it is used: which pages are read, which search engines and AI assistants visit, and which missing pages people look for. We do not use it to identify you, build a profile of you or advertise to you, and we do not sell or share it. Each entry is deleted automatically after 90 days.
Security screening
Every request passes through Amazon Web Services' firewall, which checks it against Amazon's rules for known malicious traffic and blocks matches. The firewall also keeps a sample of a few hundred recent requests, including their IP addresses, for three hours, which we can look at to investigate an attack.
If you write to info@outcomeowl.com or support@outcomeowl.com, we receive your email address and your message through Google Workspace, use them to reply, and keep the correspondence as business records.
Who handles this data for us
Amazon Web Services hosts this website in the United States, delivers it through its worldwide network, screens its traffic, and stores its request log in the United States. Google Workspace handles our email.
